Hi

Have you put new fuel in the car? fuel left for 6mths wont be very good. and most likely will need a service, new plugs etc etc, change the oil and check the battery connections.

Hope this helps
Regards
Dan

Hi I have a 2005 116i battery ran flat whilst on a 2 week holiday now key fob won't work I opened door with blade key but alarm just keeps going off any ideas

Many cars with remote entry will not work properly with a low battery. Have your battery tested and recharged or replaced if needed and see if that fixes the problem. I experienced this just this weekend when I tried to unlock my 2008 Nissan that has been parked in my garage now about three months and not driven. Re charged the battery with a battery charger for about 12 hours and all is fine again.

PS: Most major auto parts stores with test your battery and alternator for free while still on your car. Only takes a few minutes.

Audi central locking

Lock ALL DOORS, Disconnect the Battery... Wait 2-3 minutes and connect the battery and it should reset itself. Make sure all doors are LOCKED...

AND that you have a KEY to open the door in case it does not work.

I have a 2005 JGC 5.7 hemi and sometimes remotes wont work only when you want to unlock it.If you use the key to open door alarm sounds. what could be the problem?

Have you tried a new battery in the remote, or do you have a second remote you can test. Either your remote is worn out or the battery is dead.
Once you lock the car with your remote it will active the alarm and if you use your key it won't deactive the alarm only your remote will, on some cars putting the key in the ignition will deactive it.
If you can deactive your alarm with your remote and can just manualy lock and unlock your doors and that should prevent your alarm from going off until you get a new remote or battery.

Homelink garage door opener will only work at very close range - i.e. whent he garage door is open or when the car is in the garage to open to garage door. Is there as RF sensor that could be obscured?

UNPLUG EVERYTHING NEAR THE GARAGE EXCEPT THE OPENER IF THAT HELPS PLUG THEM IN ONE AT A TIME UNTIL YOU FIND THE PROBLEM.
PROBABLY RF COMING FROM SOMETHING IN THE GARAGE, FREEZER, BATTERY CHARGER (IN AN RV OR MOTORCYCLE)
OR A LIGHT TRANSFORMER - EVEN ANOTHER DOOR OPENER CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS - YOU DIDN'T LIST THE BRAND OF OPENER, GENIE HAS REPLACEMENT RECIEVERS IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE UNIT IN A GARAGE.
HOPE THIS HELPS

The Key cannot turn off the alarm on the car or open the doors when pressed. I had the batteries on the key changed but the key still does not open the locks or deactivate the alarm, I am wondering whether...

try opening the doors manualy WITH THE KEY. 2x's Driver side
These cars have sensors that read the key chip and once it recognises the key it will start working again
