1998 Dodge 2500's 4WD light won't come on either when I shift into 4x4 or even when I turn the key on and get a light test. It does seem to shift into 4x4 ok though, I just want to get the light back in service...

you need to take it to a dealer or reputable independant and have the 4wd system check...the transfer case controller is detecting some fault in the system
