Start at the horn to see if it the wire is connected, then i would remove that wire and use a jumper wire from a positive(battery) to the horn itself and see if you get any sound. If the horn beeps then the horn itself is not the issue. check your horn fuse and relay. if you are getting power at the fuse and relay it is somewhere in the steering column. possible the horn pad itself or the horn cam. If you have have this in for repairs in the past dealing with the steering column it might not have been hooked back up properly. but then again how often do you use your horn it might have been not working for quite awhile. hope this helps.

My horn & volume buttons under steering wheel stopped working on my 2007 Dodge Nitro. I checked the horn fuse & others & they all looked good. Any suggestions?

Do you have access to a horn wiring diagram for your vehicle? If so, check the applicable fuses for voltage when the horn button is actuated. Even if the fuse is good, if no voltage on the fuse circuit, the circuit is still dead. Use a test light to check voltage.
Check for applicable trouble codes. There is more than one module involved with horn operation. The instrument cluster knows when you hit the horn button then sends serial data message to integrated power module, then the power module sends voltage to horn fuse.
To troubleshoot any modules, you probably need a manufacturer specific scanner to communicate with modules.
The problem could be a hard wired circuit somewhere?

Horn doesn't work

i would check the ground out inside the steering wheel before anything else. these can get bent or broken off during a good panic honk or during a fit of roadrage. once ok'ed i would have a helper with a test light or volt meter check the system as you honk the horn to find out where the voltage stops. where the voltages stops will be the problem

I have a 91 mazda miata. my horn stopped working, buzzer isnt working and my hazards arent working either. i check to see if it was connecting it was. then i checked the fuses and relays, all were good. i...

Horn and brake lights are on the same fuse. Even if it looks OK replace it with a new fuse to be sure. Your 91 uses a 15-amp large-sized blade fuse for the horn/brakes.

The door buzzer is a separate plug-in module on the fuse box inside under the driver's side dash. If you're not getting any buzzing the whole module can be unplugged and replaced.

Last item to check would be the grounds located under the dash. I'd suggest tracing back from the hazard switch as that's easiest to access (but still not easy) and make sure all the grounds are clean and tight. Then the same for the horn switches in the wheel.

My ford KA horn has stopped working

i would check the fuse first, if the fuse is not blown take a feed direct from the battery and use it to test the horn, if the horn still doesnt work then replace the horn , if it does then its probably the horn ring , but i would suspect that its the horn unit

Horn stopped working, fuse and relay is good

With test light check voltage at horn assembly on both wire's, could only have one, horn assembly itself could be ground, have some one press horn button while checking, if there is voltage replace horn assembly, if no voltage horn pad at streeing wheel bad. that's being fuse and replay are good.

Would appreciate help for a Toyota Corolla 2007 non-working horn.

If the horn works with direct connection, and fuse, relay, and circuit breaker are all good, it's the switch in the steering wheel. If it is anything like the chrysler auto's, the switch and the air bag module is all one unit, can't replace just the switch, the whole thing, and it's about $700 to $800 for those units, at least it is here, and can only get them at a dealer.
