what country is this car located or sold to first.
D4 light is like a check engine light for the transmission
it means it is failing.
your forgot to say the D4 lamp is in
the



not told what no start means
1: will not crank , the starter motor is dead.


2: cranks fast the starter motor but the engine fails to start , run and stay running.

D4 shows flash codes on old honda's

when D4 happens, shift the transmission
too all gears and back to park see if engine starts now

all shops know how to do that. ask them to.

on another NOTE
call the guy insurance co. that hit your car
the fix it like new (or total it)

D4 is honda magic for DRIVE, the drive lamp flashes when
the tranny fails. and did and crashes to wreck wires. to lots of things. and more.

This light is indicating a fault in the automatic gear box, it can be excessive slippage (you may feel nothing unusual) or other problems. you must have it scanned by a dealer or ****** repair shop to find out what is causing the light to come on.

Sounds like the alternator is going out the slow way.
Youre kinda lucky because almoat all alternators go out without warning.
Most Autozone shops or places like it will run a test for free.

what year is the ody? sounds like a main relay problem. it was common in hondas from the 90s whereafter driving it and parking and trying to restart it, it wouldnt go and d4 would come on.

I suggest you try one of those instant download manuals. My brother ( a mechanic) buys it when he can't fix some technical issue He buys from www.reliable-store.com . A lot of mechanics actually do
this. Website is very good for this. Must try it !!

The transmission control unit has gone bad, a very common problem. There is a capacitor in the TCU that goes bad and cause a short on the board. Do not get a used one, they are all bad. A number of people sell rebuilts on Ebay. The TCU is under the Front passengers feet, pull back the carpet and you'll see both the PCM and TCU.

google "accord tcu" or "tcm" if you like
