My 2007 toyota corrolla s-type has a throttle actuator control problem i changed the part brand new but the problem persists and the same code comes back on the diagnostic... p2103... Yes, it is the engine computer. The problem sometimes will not allow to pass 2200 RPMs. The warranty will cover up to 80,000 miles. There is one at a good price below. where I bough mine:

Hi it is most likely an air fault, check the air mass sensor and clean it up with carb cleaner, this sometimes fix's the fault so worth a go before buying anything else.

This would cause the fault you mention, Im not sure about the computer issue as I have never had any faults with toyota's ECU's they are normally very good that way.

Is the engine light on? if not then it is most likely to be the air sensor, get back to me if you are unsure.

Regards
Dan

-If it is. Take it out , disassembly and clean it. Then put it back

to find out how it work. If not the possibly need to buy new one.

Here go to this web site (www.rockauto.com) . Possibly it'll be less then what the dealer told you.

How do I solve the problemp2118

P2118 Toyota Description
The Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) has a dedicated power supply circuit. The voltage (+BM) is monitored and when the voltage is low (less than 4 V), the Engine Control Module (ECM) concludes that the ETCS has a fault and current to the throttle actuator is cut. When the voltage becomes unstable, the ETCS itself becomes unstable. For this reason, when the voltage is low, the current to the actuator is cut. If repairs are made and the system has returned to normal, turn the ignition switch OFF. The ECM then allows current to flow to the actuator and actuator can be restarted.

Possible causes
- Faulty Throttle Actuator Control Actuator
- Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) harness is open or shorted
- Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) circuit poor electrical connection

Throttle actuator control module

Have you tested/looked into the throttle actuator control relay or module for issues? Both are located on the pass side.......so if the ac drain/filter got clogged and allowed water onto those there could be an issue with them. Also check your connections at the throttle body.

2007 Chevy equinox p1516

This indicates an internal failure of the throttle actuator control unit. How many miles on this vehicle? If it is under 100k, it could be covered by GM powertrain warranty.

I own a 2007 model 1.8 ltr Automatic Transmission Toyota Corolla Altis. I am unable to get used to the throttle LAG. When the throttle paddle is pressed, there is no response for the first few (4-5)...

Your vehicle is equipped with "fly by wire" throttle. When you step on the accelerator, you are actually stepping on a variable resistor that changes voltage in a circuit that goes to the throttle actuator module mounted on the throttle body on the engine. In plain english: your throttle is computer controlled. If this system is not working correctly, there should be fault codes stored in your engine computer.
