The car has the entire vinyl roof attached not to the roof but a fiberglass sub roof. To remove well that's the upholstery people secret and why they charge 700. To remove and replace after the glass co. Comes in and replacing e's the rear glass. There is a patent on it and different mold for every car.

Wipers are parking halfway, on every speed. Changed motor and swopped yellow relay switches to no evail. Driving with them halfway up on windscreen....Help Please?

Try popping the vinyl caps off at the base of the wipers. Start the car and turn the wipers on, then off. Then loosen the screws under the caps and manually set the wipers where they should be in the off position. Then tighten the screws securely while holding each wiper in that off position. Turn the wipers back on and, if that is satisfactory, replace the vinyl caps. Sounds like somehow your wipers have gotten loosened and out of kilter. If that doesn't work, I don't know what else to suggest. Good luck!

How can i repair a crack in my hard case swiss cargo roof rack carrier?

I would use fiberglass (resin, hardener + cloth) on the inside after thoroughly scuffing (and if necessary drilling reinforcing holes) the carrier surface. If after doing that the exterior is not to your liking you could remove any loose material, fill any low areas with auto body filler, sand smooth, and paint. This type of repair will be watertight and likely stronger than the original piece. I have done similar repairs on fiberglass, plastic, carbon fiber, and wood. If the carrier is smooth plastic I would recommend drilling small holes along that crack to allow for a better bond. If it is fiberglass carbon fiber or another composite course scuffing should suffice.

The measurements for vinyl top on 1984 bonneville

An upholster will be able to help you here I have used vinyl tops on cars and from experience they are the best rust producers ever invented . Over time the UV rays from the sun produce small pin size holes in the vinyl and the moisture gets in and the rust starts . Just a suggestion to check vinyl roofs in the wreckers and see how many are rust rotten -- if you want to keep the car.

How to fix rust holes on roof of 1987 caprice classic?

Are these the only rust areas on the roof? How big are they?If there are any other rust areas tap them with a hammer to make sure the roof is solid.Small areas can be cut out and welded with a metal patch,if it's larger areas it's easier and better to re skin the roof.
