What Does this malfunction mean

Your battery voltage is low. That is why you get some but not all the functioning. The alternator is currently unable to fully recharge the battery. Replacing the battery should fix the problem. Borch battery?

you can go to advance or auto zone and have them do a drain test on the battery, there is no charge for it, if it is a electrical drain it will show it on there computer. If so then you have to start tracking were it being drained from and that is no

it is likely the large battery in the boot that has weakened, if after driving car for some time when you restart the message disappears.

Mercedes C280 1996- What and where is a Mass or AirFlow Circuit Range/Performance problem- code Po101 and Fuel Trim Malfunction Code P0170, my car will not pass smog due to this, please help. Thanks

This is difficult because the computer can't detect a problem, your car thinks everything is ok. In reality what is happening is the electrical component inside the MAF sensor becomes contaminated by the impurities in the air (heavies) These containments imbed themselves to electrical component that senses the air flow causing the sensor to be slightly off, but not enough to trigger the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp). Replace the MAF sensor with a new sensor and you're problem will go away, plus your car get better mileage and performance. (Mass Air Flow MAF sensor

Ignition failing to start -S280 MERCEDES BENZ 1999 MODEL

Crank shaft position sensor is bad. This is the most common failure. Its location is on the rear drivers side of engine, where the transmission bell housing mates to the engine, only one small bolt and a two prong electrical connector hold it on. Usually will not throw a trouble code. If you remove it you can test it with an ohm meter, will have an erratic reading or read open loop, can malfunction intermittently or permanently after parking vehicle and won't restart. Applying some heat source to it during ohm testing with a hot air heat gun will usually cause the sensor to read open loop if your not sure if its bad or not. This reply is probably way to late, but I just happened to come accross it while online. Harry (master certified MBZ diagnostic tech)
