Hello Harold.
The heater core on your truck has a restriction that reduces the flow to the point you have no heat.
You will need to remove the two hoses and flush out the core.
I use two pieces of hose to attach to the fittings on the core to add the flushing solvent and the water hose.
Try using a product that can dissolve calcium such as CLR or an acid based type to clear it.
Use hand and eye protection while you do this as inadvertent spray may get you during the process.
Flush it in both directions for best results.

Sounds like the problem is a pluged heater core coolent is not cerculating.
Just use a water hose,and flush the heater core out.
