His I have a 1999 dodge ram 2500 24 valve cummins diesel. I'm getting some sort of chemical/exhaust type smell from my dash, really notice it when I turn the defrost on coming from the vents. This truck is in good shape, run well no smoke etc. The transfer pump was leaking and I replaced it along with injector pump. It actualy makes my throat sore and and creates a cough occasionaly. Weird there is no "smoke" or anything visible in the cab but my wife noticed the smell as soon as she got in the other day so I know I'm not dreaming it up(was starting to wonder). Anyone ever run into this? Thanks.

Jan 24, 2011 - Hey guys, I'm working on a 97 3500 that's had the bed removed and replaced with a flatbed. There is the biggest mess under that truck wiring wise and. ... 2007 Ram 3500 A/C compressor wont engage, need wiring diagram ...
you'll notice on your valve cover gasket there is two connectors.. the one up front is your 1-3 the one in the rear is your 4-6... you can remove your valve cover and check the connections from the injector connectors to the
connectors on the valve cover.. check for an open.. however you could also have a fault internally in 1 of your injectors in that bank as well.. hope this info helped..
