I changed rear brake pads now breaks are sticking in the rear of my 2000 jimmy

sounds like they a warped because they got hot are these the rear rotors ? i would check for collapsed rubber lines, sticking calipers, sticking pads in the mounting brackets frozen e-brake cable the same can be checked on the front minus the e-brke cable

rear pads dont have so much work to do as front are the sliders free might be sticking on a bit so binding.or badly adjusted parking brake so not fully disengaged?

Get your brake pads replaced. Sounds like the brake linings have worn down to nothing, and you are now metal to metal on your brakes.

Sounds like the pistons are sticking in the calipers. Also check the brake hoses, I had a collapsed one that was making the caliper not release.

Your brake caliper needs to be changed it is sticking, and is applying the brakes at all time while you drive.

The caliper pistons can be sticking. By flushing out the brake fluid on both rear calipers may correct your problem if contamination is removed by bleeding the rear calipers

You need to make sure the caliper pieces slide freely on the pins and the piston also moves freely. I just did my daughters GM car. I had to pull back the rubber boots, thoroughly clean the pins and relubricate them with the correct lubricant. Worst case scenario, you may have to replace the caliper pins or get rebuilt calipers.

You need to bleed the whole system. Once this is done it should work better. Make sure you are not low on brake fluid. If the front brakes are disk brakes and the rear are drum breaks, the front really does most of the stopping, the back jjust keeps the car from spinning or swaying. But the main stopping power is in the front breaks. They need to be bled correctly, make sure brake fluid is up and make sure emergency break is not engaged. The emergency break uses a lever and cable to activate the rear brakes. The emergency breaks don't run off brake fluid...

did you turn the break setting all the way in when you installed new pads.if you didnt adjust the breaks then your breaks are pushing to far out and not returning properly.adjust the pads with the adjustment usually accesible threw rear side of drums

check the axle end play. if there is significant axle in-out motion, this will cause excessive inside pad wear. it will also cause the caliper to bind under breaking conditions, yet slide freely when there is no stress applied
