On a 1994 Volvo 850 non-turbo wagon, the "W" automatic transmission light is flashing (manual attributes this to failure in the transmission gearbox and suggests contacting dealer) and the car seems to be extremely sluggish. Is the transmission dying, or is it something less serious?
Doug that’s nonsense, check the fluid level & colour if it is low, discoloured or smells burnt you should renew it & renew the filter, this is one of the most common problems with these tranny’s
Try a can of Lucas Transmission Slip - 100M - see if that helps. Something is sticking in there. This might free it up.

if this is the right front mount just behind the r/f wheel that would be ok, if this is the top mount on the engine below the windsheild go to IPD Volvo site and get the mount and do it yourself (easy)

Try cleaning the throttle body and air idle control valve (IAC). The computer kicks the idle up when the a/c is on, if your throttle body or AIC valve is full of crud it will idle very low and feel rough.
SOURCE: Cost and how to repair a heater core on a 1994 Volvo 850 Wagon.
The heater core on your Volvo is an easy fix. The dash does not need to come out. You remove 6 screws from the center console, pull that out of the way, pull back the carpet and there she is. A couple more screws, a tug to the back to remove the bad core and you replace in reverse. Put down a plastic bag or catch-can to get whatever coolant comes out when the core is removed. I thought I was in for an expensive repair until I researched and saw how easy the job was.
SOURCE: how do I change out a non working odometer/trip meter?
This has been a problem with VOLVO especially the 850 models what happens is the plastic senssor inside the speedometer breaks off and it will tell you the road speed but ODOMETER AND TRIP METER will not work and the only way to fix it is to take the cluster out and sometimes it can be soldered back in place or get a used cluster and replace the unit sorry but it is not a simple fix
