Chevk to see if your oil sending unit is leaking oil. That can cause it to show low oil pressure. Do you see oil on the ground from the oil filter area? Another thing if your idle is to low it can cause your ligth to come on.

I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 brake lights staying on. Brake lights will only come on when in gear. Brake lights will not come on while in park. Brake lights just stay on going down the road

The brake light is for = handbrake and master cylinder oil level.( There is a float inside the master reservoir and oil level low will change from park to a moving car.)
Check oil brake level.
Check handbrake fully release or switch

Hope it Helps.

Oil light comes on when braking

Your oil pump is failing.... when your engine rpm drops (when stopping) the pump and engine rpm drop to idle..(light comes on). when you accelerate (rpm's increase) the pumps start working harder and the light goes off.... I am TRULY surprised the dealer(who did you see at the dealer???) did not know this,... THIS IS BASIC STUFF!! ... I mean 090 level mechanics...

Get the oil pump replaced immediately!!!!

If your brakes need changing will your maintenance required light come on?

No the maintenance light comes on at a set mileage interval to remind you that your vehicle will be do for oil or some other scheduled maintenance. Low brakes will not trigger the light. If there is a serious problem with the braking system it will trigger the red brake light on the dash.

Brake light, oil temperature light and battery light are on

Wow, 3 problems, did the lights come on one at a time or all at once? How long has each been on? 1st thing is to check fluid levels-brake, & oil. You may damage the vehicle if you continue to drive it. The brake light means a malfunction in the system, or low brake fluid. If the level is low, adding should turn the light off. You then need to check to see where the system is leaking. Oil temp light, or is it just oil light? This will go on when you basically have no oil in the engine, or the oil pump has failed, both very bad. Battery light indicates the vehicle is not charging the battery. Check the drive belt, did it break? This could cause a bunch of lights to go on. Let me know the answers to the above, so I can help to refine my answer.

Car wont start

when you press the brake pedal the brake master cylinder vacuum booster takes vacuum away from the engine and that slows the idle speed just enough to trigger the low pressure oil light. Pull the oil pressure sending unit out and hook up an oil pressure test gage, if the pressure is above 15 PSI hot engine idle in drive replace the oil pressure sending unit.

Oil, brake fluid lights

the "brake" light in the dash is a warning light to indicate you have a serious problem with your brakes. Suggest you get it fixed immediatly.
