Most vehicles have relays to run different things and in most cases the relay gets power before the fuse so if you pulled the fuse the relay is more than likely still getting power. It may be that you just have a bad relay. You can also find the horn itself and simply un plug the power supply wire going to it.

Pull the horn fuse or relay, that should stop it. Then later in the day, replace.

My horn stop working and when I lock the doors with remote key it wont sound when you lock the doors Forgot to add that it is a 2012 Ford Escape Horn does not work from the inside either. Is it a fuse

Does the horn sound when you press it on the steering wheel if not check for a blown fuse to horn and then if ok see if you have power to horn and then if that is ok run a wire from the battery to the horn and see if it honks.

How do I unplug the horn, it wont stop beeping Where is it under the hood

The horn is located behind the bumper cover, behind the grill. There should be a 20 amp horn fuse under hood in fuse box, and the horn relay is up under dash on the right side of instrument panel, unplug one of these, or both and the horn should stop beeping.

How to fix the horn. or rewire a horn. the previous owner stated that he took out the fuse for the horn because it would not stop beeping . I need the horn to work to pass safety

Hi,
Apparently the previous circuit of horn is shorted making work all time.
Just check entire wires, relay and horn button in your car for shorted and have them fixed.
Otherwise you need to install new set of horn system ( horn button, wires and relay)

My horn wont stop going off soi took out the fuse!

Most cars have a horn ground to the steering shaft, up to under the horn ring switch. So try taking off the cover on the horn ring switch, to see if it is shorting or if the wire fell off.
Careful with the air bag. Disconnect the battery first, so it does not go off.

1996 Chrysler Cirrus horn wouldn't stop beeping too!!!

was it hot outside-heat could deform the steering wheel horn pad and make the horn go off, remove the horn pad and airbag unit(take fuse out for airbag system wait a few mins)then put the fuse that you removed back in place and see if the horn goes off again.
