Where is hazard relay located 1997 chevy s-10

It might be the flasher relay and it might be the horn relay although horns tend to seize up through lack of use. the flasher relay is is separate to the Hazards relay which is often part of the switch.

check fuse Stop/Haz Haz. Flasher, Seat Belt Buzzer, Stop Lmps., A.B.S. Memory and the flasher itself.

Most cars the flasher relays are up under the dash not far from the steering column. I had several makes of cars and they all were up there.

The flasher is mounted to the back side of the multi-function switch. To gain access the upper steering column cover must be removed.

It is in the glove box behind a plastic panel. There will be 3 relays there. It is the one closest to the drivers side.

Turn signal flashers are generally round and are located under the dash near the steering column area. In many cases there is one for the hazard flashers, and one for the turn signal flashers.

You wil need to take out the instrument cluster, not really a bad job. 10 minutes maybe. Its the Hazard Switch and relay, all one unit.

Replace the Turn Signal Flasher Relay. It has 2 relays. One for the Hazard lights and one for the Turn Signals. The Turn Signal Flasher Relay is located Front seating area, driver side, passenger side of steering column, under dash, mounted near cigarette lighter.
