There will be a connector where the tow package wiring hooks up into the main wiring harness. Trace the wires from the trailer plug back till you find the connection place. Wiggle or carefully remove outer protection.
You will find the bad connection if you are patient.
It is to nice of a rig for duct tape and toggle switches.

2003 Dodge Ram 3500 left turn signal problems / trailer

Well let me shed some light on this issue. I have the same problem. Trailer connection from truck does not have power to left turn signal and left brake light. I just got back from the dealership and $100.00 labor charge. My problem is the TIPM (Fuse Box for short) and FCM (little silver module hooked to the Fuse Box on the left hand side of the fuse box). $910.00 for the parts and Chrysler doesn't have any in stock. 4-6 weeks to maybe fill a back order. I am currently researching an alternative way to fix this issue. I will let you know.

Check the lug on the truck to be sure it doesn't move when the plug is connected. I had one that read 12 volts when I tested it but would slide in or move when I plugged into it. I replaced the plug on the truck and it solved that problem. Trailer wiring typical is yellow to the left turn/brake light. Does the left brake light work? Do the flashers work? Double check the fuses also... to left turn/brake on trailer. Hope this helps. Mike

1996 Dodge 3500 I Have No Turn Signals Or Hazard Lights If I Press The Brakes & Try The Signal It Comes On the Opposite Side But Want Blink

Check the 20 amp fuse if it's blown. This fuse is located in the power distribution box on the left hand side by the firewall. If the fuse is okay more than likely your multifunction switch needs to be replaced.

Towing jack not working

Check the plug on the truck, make sure it's clean. You may have to pull it apart & make sure no wire strands from one terminal, are touching another, via wirestrand or corrosion.
