This usually points to a sensor issue or a computer failure.

What diagnostics have been done with a diagnostic data scanner. If its in limp mode what codes did you have before and what codes do you have now. ??

And what year vehicle are we talking about here??

Here's a good one for my 2000 town and country transmission in limp mode. I bought the car from a friend who was going to junk it because a trans shop said the trans was bad, but it still drove so I...

The main thing to remember when messing with a Chrysler product newer than 1996 is that you can not interchange modules from one vehicle to another. Does not matter if it is the exact same number or not. All modules are programmed to the VIN at the factory and will not work in any other vehicle. You must use the factory original part or order a new part and have it flashed to the VIN at the dealership.

you don`t say if you ever had codes pulled from the tcm or if you installed a new tcm and not a used one.if a used one you may have a bad one.also you may have to have the tcm programed to your vehicle.if in limp in mode there possibly a problem internal to the transmission.you need to have it checked out a tranny shop that you trust or is recomended by several people.

I have a 2001 Chrysler T&C. The transmission is stuck in limp mode. I have replaced the TCM and it is still in limp mode. I see manys postings with this problem but nobody posts what they did to repair...

Many times on Chrysler products, one or both of the speed sensors screwed into the front of the transmission will fail, and cause the tcm to go to limp mode. Also make sure you have power to the tcm. Someone with a scanner can check these for you, or the speed sensors are less than 20 bucks each, replace them both and cross your fingers. If the transmission has internal problems, the tcm will sense this and go into limp-mode as well.

Wut is a po700 code on a 2004 doge intreped and how do i fix it

The codes mean P0700 Transmission control system malfunction. Unless you've had an automatic transmission apart before I don't recommend it to do it yourselfers. Better to get a professional opinion and avoid really messing it up. That solenoid is part of the valve body and replacing the valve body requires special tools and a bit of expertise. good luck,

2002 Dodge Caravan with approx. 66,000 miles, check engine light came on, seemed to have stayed in 2nd gear. Could it be a pac solenoid transmission problem?

You need to find someone who can pull the codes from the transmission and see what kind of trans fault it is. If there is a fault in the trans the controller will put it into limp in mode which is 2nd gear locked. Won't shift out of 2nd...You need to pull the codes and see if it is internal in the trans or an external sensor-Good Luck
