Noise from belts

First you need to remove the belt and check all the pullies to include the acceseries (A/C, Power Steering pump, Alt.) If they are all free moving and not worn then replace the belt and check the tention. Also if a belt is wet or has oil on it this will cause noise as well.

I WILL LIKE TO KNOW HOW CAN I REPLACE THE POWER STEERING PUMP ON A 2001 CHEVY MALIBU

1. Remove serpentine belt

2. loosen power steering pressure and return hoses

3. Remove nut from pressure line mounting on alternator bracket

4. remove power steering pump mounting bolts.

5. Lift pump assembly from engine mounting and remove hoses.

6. Reverse order to install. Fill and bleed system.

NOTE: A new or rebuilt power steering pump will most likely not come with a pulley attached. You will need a power steering pulley remover/installer tool to transfer the pully from the old pump to the new one.

Replace power steering pump

The procedure is as follows:--- 1) Locate the power steering pump on the driver's side of the motor, which is mounted in front of the engine, near the top.2) You will see a fill spout coming out of the pump with a cap on it that says "power steering fluid."
3) Remove the negative battery cable from the battery
4) Remove the cap from the power steering pump, allow the fluid to drain into the pan.
5) Loosen the bolts that hold the power steering pump to the engine block with a socket wrench. Once the pump is loose, remove the belt from the pulley on the power steering pump. Remove the pump from the engine compartment.
6) Insert new power steering pump in reverse.
7) Reattach the power steering hoses and verify they are secure. Fill the new power steering pump with fluid to the full line shown on the dipstick on the back of the cap for your power steering pump. Place the cap back on the power steering pump.
