Quite a few idea's come to mind.
1) Thermostat is stuck open, causing the engine to run cool.
2) The vacuum valve that opens and closes the air "flap" is stuck open, allowing cool air in all the time.
3) The vacuum valve that opens and closes the line that feeds the heater core isn't opening all the way.

Try flushing or blowing high pressure air through the heater core lines. its sludge build up and need to be flushed through heater core only. check antifreeze fluid level. only put in straight antifreeze, do not mix. most people do not know what mixture should be, so be safe and add straight, it will not hurt it, i run 100% straight antifreeze and never had a problem or worry about it ever freezing and cracking my block, heads or radiator cracking.

Jeep liberty heater

if there is not even luke warm air coming from the heater it may be caused by the blend air door motor. on some of the jeeps they came out with a new upper heater housing that was a new design. I believe if your vehicle had this update the dealer would be able to check TSB's for the cause. other wise like I said, most likely the blend air door and/or motor

Bmw e46 316 2001,heater problem...heaters only blow out luke warm air.not sure whats causing the problem, could it be the thermostat, hedgehog resistor,or heater controll valve...advice please

Touch both heater hoses under hood when car is warmed up Kane, They should both be the same temp if your heater core is working good. The next thing would be to replace the thermostat.

My 2003 325i blows cold air, heater never heats up, what's the potential causes/cures?

Potential causes: Low coolant- fix by adding coolant Thermostat stuck closed- would also cause engine to overheat Thermostat stuck open- would eventually blow at least luke warm air Heater core plugged- Get it backflushed or replace it These are the most common causes

The engine is running at normal temps and we have flushed the heater core but it still is only luke warm air blowing out

drain the antifreeze ,then add water and when nearly full put about half a cup of caustic soda in the rad and run this for a day or so till teh heater get hotter then flush completely and then re add the antifreeze

Mercedes 190E heater blowing just luke warm air

there should be an electric water pump exclusively for the heater. on these 201 body cars it should be under the hood, on the passenger side, near the fender well. when the heater is engadged, this pymp should turn on pushing the hot water into the heater core. if these are not working, it will obstruct the water flow.

2004 Tahoe Heating Problems

Did you open the radiator cap and make sure the radiator is full of coolant? Sometimes the hose from the coolant reservoir to the radiator becomes plugged, and the radiator will become low on coolant even when the plastic reservoir is full. Low water levels will prevent the coolant system from getting hot water from the engine to the radiator or heater cores. This will cause the engine to run hotter while the heater appears to not be working.
