Depends on milage, and condition. I got an '89 short box, regular cab, 4 cylinder with NO rust at all, but over 200,000 miles. I paid just over three thousand, as the odometer read that it had 84,000 miles on it. So I got a raw deal there, but the truck is clean, so I rebuilt the entire drive line, engine, transmission, rear end, transfercase, and on. Now I have a rust free solid good running truck for under seven thousand, that runs like new. But...I do have a lot of time in it.
I love the truck, they are well built, just prone to rust.

1986 toyota 4x4 pickup brakes go to the floor

Check your brake lines/connections for leakage and clogging. Any leaks/clogs? Fix the problem spots. Then bleed the system. This is best/easiest done with two people. Brake bleeding steps can be found in pretty much ANY auto repair manual for a vehicle with conventional hydraulic brakes.

I have a 1986 toyota 4x4 pickup. It starts fine and idles good but when you step on the gas the motor acts like it is flooded. I checked the timing changed the spark plugs and the fuel filter and no change...

Had the same problem on an 87 pickup not 4x4. Check the rubber fuel line from the tank to the engine, mine was so old that when the engine tried to **** a lot of gas the rubber line collapsed and restricted the amount of gas getting to the engine.

What is a 1986 toyota 4x4 truck worth with no motor

Depends on condition. If it's not a rust bucket, maybe 200-400. Of course you would be marketing this truck to a very small percent of the population. Someone who has, or is willing to buy the motor and install it.

Where can find a fuse panel diagram for a 1986

You should be able to find a fuse panel diagram in the back of any repair manual(Haynes) which you can get at any auto parts store. The fuse panel in the glove box is for your fan and air conditioning. The other fuse panels are general. Your truck should be a 22r carborated motor unless altered.

Hi there. i have a 1986 toyota hilux 3.0l turbo(knocking)

I have a Toyota Hilux 3.0 KZ-TE fitted with a intercooler and on Saterday on a 4x4 outing the engine light on the dashboard came on and the motor started spluttering and excessive white smoke came out of the exhaust. The problem persisted for several minutes and then went away. The verdict from other 4x4 owners was that the turbo needs an overall, I cannot understand this as it is fine again with no mechanical interferance.

1986 Toyota Pickup

Sounds like maybe a blown headgasket between two cylinders. I've seen this plenty of times.
