More here, but the TCM is not something you say "I think I'll put a new one in my car". You need an auto electrician or a transmission specialist to connect a scan tool computer and diagnose. The issue is more likely shift solenoids than the TCM.

What makes Audi A6 c6 2.4 2007 multitronic gearbox not to change gears or even to move

gee a 20cent blown fuse is cheaper.'
check all fuses
then scan the PCM for tranny errors. using a scan tool.'
there are near 10 on car checks on any failing A/t seems you skipped all that.
USA car or not?
we oops no 2.4l here USA> so you are posted outside USA and didnt say so first.
ours has 7 solenoids in the box. tranny, and if the TCM is not happy how and can it shift right.? and EPC inside to set pressures right.
ours uses A6 Quattro; Trans. Code 6HP19A;
I say check all fuses., then scan the pcm/tcm
then ask for help with P07nn or P17nn errors called DTC's

the box is 100% electronic shifted, how can you forget to check status of the TCM./

How much it costs to replace the 2003 Audi A4 transmission control module?

The cost to replace the transmission control module (TCM) on a 2003 Audi A4 can vary depending on several factors, such as the location of the repair shop, the extent of the damage to the TCM, and the cost of the replacement part.
On average, the cost of replacing the TCM for a 2003 Audi A4 can range from $500 to $1,500. This cost includes the cost of the replacement part and the labor involved in the repair. However, depending on the extent of the damage to the TCM or if other parts need to be replaced along with the TCM, the cost can go up significantly.
It's always a good idea to get a quote from a reputable repair shop before proceeding with any repairs. They can provide you with a more accurate estimate based on the specific details of your situation. Additionally, if your Audi A4 is still under warranty, the cost of the repair may be covered, so it's worth checking with your dealer to see if this is the case.

2008 Audi Q5 gearbox. If I have a problem in hydraulic pressure sensor 1 (G193), should I change the Audi Q5 mechatronic or only hydraulic pressure sensor?

3.0l V6 IN FRONT? 7 GEARS BOX.
the $64,000 question asked a zillion times
there is no hard fast answer on automatics!
see all those seals inside the box.
and if just 1 or more leaks ATF, pressures fall, and will not shift correctly.
so you scanned the PCM/TCM first, and got errors, not told?

on modern boxes the pressure from the pump is modulated (EPC) by the TCM and if the sensor reads wrong;, the sensor is bad or the modulator is bad or you have HUGE leaks inside.
got 400kmeters? odometer on this car/box/
the book on the transmission

read the page on pump pressure testing
we do the tests, first. (after scans)
the test for pressure is done in all gears
PRNDL , and checked top spec.
if reads ok the pressure sensors is fibbing
if reads wrong the pressure sensor is telling truth.
do that test in the tranny book
I use ATSG manual (books).
On Some boxes we have bank if pressure switches that verify each gear actually select.
by pressure each.
even 7 of them for 7 gears.
not scanning the TCM first is a bad act.
do all the tests in the
DSG-7 DL501 0B5 S-Tronic

first, TCM errors matter first, even blow fuses.

I have a 1998 audi a4. it will not start and gives me the p1749 and p1625 codes. how do i fix this?

code p 1625 refers to CAN databus, TCM--incorrect signal===causes --TCM trouble code/s stored---TCM incorrectly coded---wiring---matching resistor in ECM
I don't have a listing for code p 1749 but codes 1748 and 1750 are concerned with TCM defective and voltage supply low
so after you check the wiring and connections form the transmission you have 2 options
use a known good ECM to replace yours ( will eliminate any ECM faults)
and/or replace the TCM module on the transmission

Ok i have a 2005 audi a4 1.8 my PRND kights stays on now when i drive it shifts hard and high rpm to 3rd,4th gears i just recently put a new transmission in 5 months ago

with all those symptoms you will be able to get some codes about the problem. once you get the codes you can get a follow up proses by knowing what part or system is no working.
you need to find a scanner that is capable to read transmission codes.

Code points more towards tranny problem, not TCM. Check tranny fluid level (google instructions; there is no 'dip stick'. You need to fill until if overflows). Also: gear selector (on the side of the tranny).

What will my audi do if i have a bad tcm?

Sliding or problems with the gears is the first symthom, but before to change or replace some parts, I suggest scanned the TCM to know if some fault code is stored there; sometimes, solving the codes (as minor repair) save buy new TCM.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) and Transmission Control Module (TCM) can only be accessed using diagnostic equipment (e.g.: VAS, VAG-COM, Bosch KTS, Texa, ...) connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) memored. Then you will be full informed about pieces out of order, and you will be able to repair damages & replace bad pieces. Therefore you will can erase all faults memored, and reset ECM & TCM. Finally you will start the engine and test the car. If you will send me the engine type, I will can send you back the fuel pump fuse & relay positions, for cheking them, and also all supplementary informations that you need.
