Starting Problem I have a Hyundai Accent ( around 2000 model ). The motor kicks over but it won't start. Seems either fuel or spark problem. Is there a common fault. Regards, Kevan.

Do not i will say it again do not spray starter fluid in to the breather as you will destroy your mass air flow sensor. check or change your crank sensor and your cam sensor.. i have had the same problem and it took me like 3 months to find that out.. i have a 2000 hyundai accent and it it would start from a cold start with no problem but once it warmed up it would stall... besides the crank shaft sensor is one of the cheapest parts you can change ............

Car get old and parts must be replaced..Get a can of starting fluid and spray it in the TBI or breather. try this a couple of times. If it starts and dies you have a bad fuel pump. if it doesnt start your problem is electrical

How to check for lose fuel pressure hyundai accent 2002

A mechanic would use a fuel pressure gauge, you could spray starting fluid or carb cleaner into the throttle body to see if it will start on that.
Also check for spark at the plugs.

2005 Hyundai accent won't start. it turns over but is not starting.

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Check and see if you are getting spark to the plugs first.
Also re-check the computer for codes and see how many are back.
Trouble codes are suggestions, not solid instructions.

I have a 2005 hydaia accent that crank up but won't stay run but when I put it in drive it kills

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

Turns over strong, full of gas, but won't start. Had been starting up in 1 second without touching the gas pedal.

use a little starting fluid to see if its fuel or spark related if it fires its fuel related if not vice versa.could be a simple tps sensor.throttle position sensor.
