Windsheild Wipers will not move, the arm seems to be slipping on the motor shaft,

pull the arms off the shafts and cycle the wiper motor to the stop position . Replace the arms and tension the nuts.

Check to see if the nut is tight on the wiper down at the bottom, secondly turn the wipers on and put your ear down by the wipers to see if you can hear the motor moving. If you hear the motor moving the arms under the plastic sheathing have seperated. Try the nut first see if that fixes your problem then try the rest.

The motor continuously turns, it doesn't stop and back up. If your wipers got iced or stuck, they may have loosened the pivot nuts. Lift both wiper arms up off of the windsheild and then see if the wipers move correctly. If they do, shut off the wipers to let them "park." Loosen the nuts under the plastic cap at the base of the wiper arm, and set each arm to the park position, and then tighten the nut. These are made to slip so the motor doesn't get destroyed.

will try to assist. when your wipers 'on' can you see looking from outside of car at the driverside wiper,is anything moving?look really close at the wiper at bottom near the wind sheild? is anything moving?do you see the wiper trying to turn?but just does'nt grab? if you see the knob turning,but the wiper not moving,maybe the wipers not pushed down onto the gear properly. try with wipers on,push the wiper arm down,or towards windsheild. does it move then? do you see the wiper gear moving at all? wiggle the arm,does it move on it's own? if so, you need the wipers adjusted.[autozone,advance auto parts] for free. if the wiper on drivers side,the gear that drives the wipers[little round] thing that wiper arm at the bottom of winsheild does'nt turn at all, the wiper arm under the dash in disconnected. this means that the panel outside where the wipers are will need to come off and the wiper arm will need to be reconnected to the wiper motor.there is a reason the wiper arm came off in the 1st place so that will need to be dealt with. it may be a faulty keeper pin,or a faulty carter key that holds the wiper assembly to the wiper motor.i really hope that this assists you,let me know please! and if you need further assistance,please repost your questions to fixya.com!

Wiper motor arm disengaged or slipping on drive shaft.

Wiper arms slipping on splines at pivot point of wiper arm.,,,more likely.

Wipers are held to drive splines with a 10mm nut.

Make sure wipers are in in 'parked' position buy turning on ignition and making sure wiper switch is OFF.

Turn off ignition.

Pry off the black round plastic cover off the arm where it attaches at the splines. ( Drive splines on lower windshield cowl.)

Tighten nut/s.

Very common problem, most likely needs a new wiper motor. Cheap fix.

sounds like wipers arm is not securely attached to shaft that is attached to wiper motors. They can strip out and you can either us JB weld to put them on or get new ones or junk yard ones.

If your just changing the wiper blades, turn the wipers on and when they get to the top, take the key out. They dont move back much but its enough to change them. If you want to take the arms off, lift the hood up and use a 13mm socket or wrench to loosen the nut and then wiggle the arm off. If you need to change the motor, unclip the black molding that the wiper arms are on and you have full access to the motor.

Grab the right arm and move it by hand. If the arm moves and the splined post does not, the splines are propbably stripped, either on the arm or on the post.

If both the arm and the post move, the linkage under the cowl probably came off. You will need to remove both arms and unbolt the cowl cover to access the linkage.

I THINK YOU SHOULD TURN OFF WIPERS TAKE WIPER ASSEMBLY OFF PUT BOTH ON AT LOWEST POINT ON WINDSHEILD, TRY THAT.
