If you have the split folding rear seats then there is a catch for each side between the two headrests on the top. Pull the catch up and the seat folds down.

Tracy, Some just pull straight up and out, there may be a pin hole, lever or button just under head rest which will release and allow head rest to be pulled up or pushed down, it does take some force as they do like to get stuck.

Ok.. This is for removing the backseat headrests on 06 trailblazer..
you gotts cut the material right under the rest , you can superglue it back later..then with a hook tool a pick you find the pins at the base of the rod and pull them out.. He didnt have to cut the material on the next headrest after finding where they were located.. Kinda alittle painintheass job. But goter done..

On dodge dakota there is a small hole on the inside headreast in the plastic stem on the inside take a small awl, then press in while pushing the relase button on the out side that adjust your headreast, then pull straight up it should come out. the button on the side there the bar pulls out from isn't just for puting the head rest down it is also for removal

Backseat headrest is realising by shifting theare horisontal position and pull up in vertical direction. It is only ficsation of the upper position and remuving whith backseat toghether.

Look at the top of ur seat, between the two shafts of ur headrest. Beside one of the posts is a black plastic base on which one side has a button u push. That allows u to remove the headrest. U might have to jimmy side to side a bit as they are somewhat hard to remove at times, just do so with ur finger pushing the release mechanism.
