Help !!!!. I have a 1997 Range Rover 4.6 HSE. After leaving it standing for a while the battery went flat. I disconnected the battery and charged it fully. When I reconnected it to the car all of the doors...

Some one brought his vehicle to me the other day with same problem. What i did was connected the battery and got inside locked the doors and removed the main fuse. This reseted the ordeal somehow. When i got outside i locked the door again and that was that. No alarm. How ever, i did install a new battery to the handset and tried again without any problems. Hope this helps.

97 discovery immobilized itself when i removed the battery. Shifter locked, no ingition, no lights, no electrical

you may have to program the key if you have replaced a battery, as this can cause the key to on longer be synchronized with the car.
The SBB key proprammer for immobilizer can help you!

Today My Landrover discovery 1996 tdi 300i just had its dashboard oil light suddenly failing to go off after starting. There is a funny sound at the top of the engine which has developed and the engine oil...

The oil light is pressure not level. The noise at top of engine is most likely a valve tap. The oil isn't circulation through engine correctly. The problem could be a bad oil pump. Be careful driving the car you could cause major engine damage.

My 1997 300 TDI Disco is leaking fuel from the back rear of the injector pump. I don't think its coming form the injector pipe unions. Is it possible to be coming from the torque key bolts?? I pulled one...

Unless it is from the centre blanking screw, that is removed to set pump timing, there is no quick fix.
Recommend removal & service by a diesel pump specialist, Even my RR specialist would not do this repair in house

I have a landrover discovery 300 tdi, the key fob has stopped working after i dropped it, any ideas how i can fix it, or what damage i may have dne

it might be that one of the chips on the motherboard has come loose or the battery connections are no longer touching, open the remote up and just squeez the contacts a bit not to much though as they are delicate dont leave the battery out to long or it will need reprograming, this is how, switch ignition on, then switch ignition off, remove key you have to deactivate the system by using the 4 digit code from the vehicle security card...see hand book, once done, stand close to the vehicle, and press either button on the remote 4 times or more in quick succession, then it should work again...hope this helps

The locks on my 1997 Land Rover Discovery wont stay locked. I lock them and they pop up when I shut the door. Whats up with this mystery.....any help is appreciated.

The owner's manual for your Discovery clearly states that this is a design feature to keep you from locking the keys in the vehicle. The doors must be locked with either the remote keyless entry transmitter, or with the key itself.

I have recently bought an automatic td5 2004 with 73000 miles

Sounds like you may have a air leak on your fuel line if the pump is working a lot. Unless the ticking is as you turn the key in which case it's more of a click and is in fact the starter solenoid. May be best to re-post in the 2004 discovery section though as the 1997 is a 300-tdi and different animal all together.

Alarm goes off intermmitantly when the Disco TDI 300, 1997

First check your battery and connections. There are two alarm units , your dealer will be able to read the fault codes and advise you on what to do.I don't think it's wise to expose the security of your vehicle on line.
