I have a 2004 jeep liberty. just 2 days ago out of no where my locks stopped working along with my interior lights, and radio. The funny thing is that the locks will work while the car is running. I have also just started to notice a leak but not sure if that has anything to do with the electrical problems?

the solution for your problem is your starter went out. the price for a used starter will run at about 50 to 100 dollars and for a new starter it will run at about 150 to 175 dollars.

there are also different camshafts, different valve springs, engine will have different emission profile, but in range of adaptation I think.
If you want to have exact this same profile, You should move also camshafts and springs to newer one.
You have to change right cam gear, crankshaft reluctor, intake, probably oil smoke and pan (depends of what model engine is), all sensors. There is also ring in back of crankshaft whitch will block putting 2002 transmission converter, you need to have special tool to remove it. This says that it's lot od work, what we are doing now, nearly all new engine disassembled... in few days we'll try to fire engine, let's see...
