Sounds like the valves in the valve body are sticking, and maybe a lock up converter.Try this brand ,lube guard, for transmissions,it can be found at napa auto parts,it is the beat, and will most likely fix the problem,it is for transmission shutter.
The icm most likely will not cause this problem, this is common for these model cars if the valves are sticking in the valve body of the transmission, but if the icm is leaking,it does need to be replaced, for it will go out.
The LUBE GUARD will not be enough to even tell it on the dip stick,so go for it to see if it helps, most clutch chatter, and shutters this additive corrects .
No,but if it says LUBE GUARD,,and it is a synthetic, then it is the same thing, but napa sells it,and you can get it quicker ,just walk in and purchase it,but it does not matter, either will do,it is the synthetic properties that will fix it.There you go!

Be sure to get your ICM and coils tested first. It feels just like a transmission problem when one starts failing.

I took a look at the ICM and there seems to be a tan sticky substance leaking out from under it.
I just had the trans fluid flushed. Will adding the lube guard over fill it and cause damage or leakage?
I found a product on Lubegard website called
Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx? is this the one you recommend?
I tried the Dr. Tranny with no luck, it helped a little but it will still chug when under load in high gear. Thanks for your help though it was worth a try.
