I have a Kia Rio 2004 1.6 engine 82000 miles and its been running find and just out of the blues it won't start. The battery its find we even changed the starter and its still won't start.

25,000 to 30,000 miles is what I read somewhere. I would do it at 15,000 intervals, due to the fact that "interference engines" are very close tolerances between the valves and pistons. $30 belt or $1600 and up for rebuild or engine swap.

I doubt the timing belt is causing your engine vibration issue. I would suspect that a good tune up would take care of that problem.

If the check engine light is going on and off then it is very highly likely pointing to a misfire, and this could be due to any number of things, and your best bet by far is to have a code read done as this will give you information as to the cause of the problem, if not point you directly at the problem itself.
