2002 eclipse spyder heater was blowing cold on driver's side, hot on passenger's. Mechanic "fixed" it so it would blow same temp on both sides--unfortunately that would be COLD. Obviously, I don't want to go back and have them fix it again. Where is the core in this car? I can't seem to get 2 diagrams that show the same placement--or the same part. 3.0 6L model.Thermostat has been replaced, system has been flushed, don't notice any leaks, but do need to add about a pint of coolant to the overflow every 2 weeks or so . . .

SOURCE: Changing the front speaker 2001 Eclipse Spyder

There are 7 screws all together to remove the door pannel. First, you have to take off the hanlde for the door. the 2 plastic covers on the handle pop off revealing 2 screws on the top and bottom, remove those. then behind the the door handle on the inside, pull it as if you were to open it and there is a screw that you have to remove. Then there are 2 screws on either side of the door pannel, both are farily close to the top, remove those, and then its just a matter of popping the pannel off. start from the bottom, pop it off then slide it up. becarefull, after the door panel is free, there is a connection for the power doors and windows unhook that then the pannel will be free. after that the speaker will be right there and its common sense on removing that. good luck.

SOURCE: 2001 eclipse no heat

Stick your head under the driver side dash and look on the side of the blower motor check to see if the wire to the damper is moving through the small plastic conduit. over time the wires lose their rigidity and instead of moving the damper it will bend. Let me know if these look normal

SOURCE: 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, can't figure out

There are a couple of possibilites. 1 Is your vehicle equipped with seperate climate controls for the driver and passenger, if so your warm/cold air motor door on the drivers side is malfunctioning. This is located under the dash.2 Your climate controls on your dash are not working properly. Hope this helps.

Problem with heater blowing cold air 2001 eclipse spyder + 1more

You could have a couple of issues.
Heater core
Radiator blockage

You should not drive the car to avoid overheating the motor. Have the system checked by a mechanic. You could simply have air lock.

Youfr front end is either wheel balance if your steering wheel shimmies side to side or if it shakes up and down it may be alignment. Neither is good for your tires, Try the balance first (cheapest fix)
