MY FORD ESCORT 1.6 FINESSE 1997 IMOBILISER FAULT

MY FORD ESCORT 1.6 FINESSE 1997 HAS A FAULT WITH THE IMOBILISER SYSTEM. IVE NO STARTER AND NO FUEL PUMP WHEN THE IGN IS SWITCHED ON THE ALARM LIGHT FLASHES CONSTANTLY. WHEN THE IGN IS OFF THE ALARM LIGHT FLASHES NORMAL EVEN IF DOOR IS OPEN.
THE CAR DOESNT HAVE THE PATS BOX UNDER THE DASH LIKE THE PRE 95 MODELS.
WE HAVE EVEN CHANGED THE ECU/CODE-READER AND IGN BARREL AND KEYS OFF A SIMILAR MODEL THAT RAN FINE BUT NO CHANGE IT STILL WONT FIRE AND THE ALARM LIGHT IS STILL GOING NUTS.

the escort doesnt have a seperate alarm/imobiliser its the ford built in system that is at fault.
we have also changed the fusebox as well as these are coded to the cars as well with no change either.
i can get the various numbers off the ecu and pats code-reader if thats any help.
ive had this problem befor but it was a pre95 escort with the seperate pats box we changed the reader/box/ecu and the car worked fine again .
this model doesnt have the box on the bulkhead obove the glovebox the loom goes straight from the code-reader to the ecu.all the dashboard has been removed to ensure that ford dint put the box elsewhere on the late model escort but there is nothing.
    its got me stumped.
the haynes manuel only shows wiring diags for the alarm/imobiliser system for models up to 1995 after that there isnt any diags listed in the book.
    any ideas thanks

Disconnect the battery for 1 minute and try again - ---quick fix possible with that---
if that makes no difference then I would like to know exactly what model of alarm and immobiliser the car has - what is the maker + model no/serialno of the keyfob for the alarm, I can get the info I need off that.
also you can check the fuse in the alarm if you know where the alarm is situated, it will have a fuse either on an inline fulseholder on as a spade fuse stuck into its casing somewhere - replace the fuse if blown and try again to start the car ------------ tell me the model no of your alarm and immobiliser if no joy after battery/fuses and I can read up on them and see if I can fix your problem...

Testimonial: "thanks for that info ive already tried it with no chane but many thanks for the info"

You can try wiring the pump to +12v and also the starter and see if it will run with the ford stuff bypassed>?
maybe a custom wire-up ignoring the immobiliser could get you going?

1997 FORD ESCORT WONT START HAVE DASHBOARD LIGHTS AND HEADLIGHTS NO SOUND EXCEPT ALARM FROM DOOR BEING OPENED

if my memory serves me correctly is the key the one with transponder in it and spare key is a red one. if so try the red key. another thought is when you unlock the door there is a alarm imobiliser shroud around the doorlock. remove door panel and check its operating ok.( dont hold me to this information but i have done these in the past and im sure thats what it is )

Hi,
You have to check and replace the spark plugs, ignition( if there is still sparks coming out ), and replace fuel fitler( drain also the fuel line of old petrol ).
You need a good technician to restart and tune it up!
Hope that helps you out.
