The heater core can partially plug (internally) causing heat from only one side of the dash vents. You can try to flush just the heater core itself, but most of the time the heater core asy requires replacement.

My 1993 Buick Century's heater and defroster will not blow hot air. Also, there is water on the floorboard on the passenger side. The car is not running hot. What is wrong?

There could be a number of issues at work here. First, and most important is to address the source of the wet floorboard on the passenger side. Get you fingers wet and then rub your fingers together. Does the wetness feel a bit more slippery than just water? Smell it. Does it have a bit of a sweet smell? If so, this could be coolant leaking from the heater core into the passenger compartment. Slow leaks will take a while to notice in the coolant level. If this is the case, replacement of the heater core will be necessary. The wetness could also be just rainwater coming in from an open firewall plug, damaged door seal, or perhaps windshield seal, where rust or a poorly installed replacement could result in leakage. Now about the heat. First, is the engine coolant reaching operating temperature? Run the vehicle for at least ten minutes. Then feel the upper and lower radiator hoses. Both should be hot. If not, you may have a thermostat issue that is keeping the coolant from getting warm enough to produce sufficient heat. If the hoses are hot, then check both the supply and return heater hoses to the heater core. They should both be hot as well. If not, then a clogged heater core is usually the culprit. You may be able to get lucky and back flush the core, but most times replacement is required. If everything to this point has checked out OK, then it is likely that the blend door in the heater control box is inoperative and will not divert the cabin air through the heater core. This is hard to determine as it is all under the dashboard and sometimes difficult, if not impossible to see. Check the control head vacuum lines for cracks and breaks. Look at the vacuum actuators and ensure they are operating and that their linkages are connected as move freely. Repair or replace any problems found.

Air conditioner

Check whether the warm air isn't going in with the cold air .Coolant line that runs into the firewall on the passenger side of the engine which is toward the bottom half of the firewall on the passenger side. If there is warm air going into the vents with the cold air then it blows warm air. You may have to shut it manually because it gets stuck sometime. Check it out.

2003 accord air conditioner

This is a common problem when the AC system has a low charge.
If this is the case, you have a leak somewhere. Do not try to fix it yourself without the proper equipment.

2001 Accord EX - Front passenger side carpet is soaking wet

The drain on the a/c evaporator gets clogged, you have to raise the car on a lift, or get under the car, on the right side of the car under the fire wall you will see a black rubber hose ( about a 1/2 inch in size) pointing down, you will need to blow compressed air in the hose to clear the blockage.

2006 Chevy Impala Heater only works when accelorater is depressed

Impalas are known for this issue, where the heating won't work properly.... usually caused by trapped air/bubbles in cooling system or slightly low coolant level. Park car so that the right front side is elevated and remove the coolant OVERFLOW bottle cap (NEVER the radiator cap) while engine is running.. This should allow the trapped air to escape. Also add a bit more coolant if needed.
