The parts lookup shows a crank case vent valve rather than a pcv. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

Hi,

There is a PVC valve in this Model.Usually located in the valve cover, it's a resilient molded rubber adapter that the PCV valve fits onto. This rubber accessory provides a secure fit and prevents annoying vacuum leaks.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

How do you take out a PVC in a Dodge 2004 1500

To remove a PVC (positive crankcase ventilation) valve from a 2004 Dodge 1500, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Locate the PVC valve. It is typically located on the engine, near the throttle body or intake manifold.
  2. Disconnect the battery. This is important to ensure safety while working on the vehicle.
  3. Remove the PVC valve hose. The PVC valve hose is connected to the engine with a clamp. Use a screwdriver or pliers to loosen the clamp and remove the hose.
  4. Unscrew the PVC valve. The PVC valve is held in place with screws or bolts. Use a socket wrench or a screwdriver to remove these fasteners and take out the PVC valve.
  5. Install the new PVC valve. Follow the steps in reverse order to install the new PVC valve. Make sure to tighten all the fasteners securely and reconnect the battery before starting the engine.
Note: If you are not familiar with automotive repair or are not comfortable working on your vehicle, it is recommended to have the PVC valve replaced by a professional mechanic.

What is the part name for the hose on top of my Protege DX valve cover?

Just the hose or the PCV (not pvc) valve? The hose is probably a dealer-only item - go to the Mazda parts department w/the broken piece and they'll get you a new one. The PCV is avl. @ most auto parts stores - and is cheap - <$20.

Where is the pvc valve

The part number would depend on the brand the store carries - you can check the auto parts stores online.
The valve is in the back of the valve cover with a 1/2 inch hose attached.

My mustang 92 motor 2-3 it s getting motor oil into its intake manifold and hose but it doesnt neither fumes nor fails.what is causing this problem THANKS.

Check the PCV valve and replace it first before you tear into this, it could be bad. Might also be a leaking gasket. The PVC is the easiest and cheapest and is available at all auto parts stores.

Could someone have removed my pcv valve before I got the 91 olds cutlass cierra and it would still run?

Sure they could have.

BUT NOT LIKLEY.

The PVC valve is needed to clear the mixed gases from the crank case

RECOMENDATION:

Go to your local Parts store and have the attendant point out your PVC valve and replace it.

1991 is way past due for replacement.

Hope this tip helps.

Oil shooting out of top of intake manifold from a hole which appears to have a part missing

Call your local automotive parts store and see if it is your PCV valve.
Most times $10-20. It should be on your Valve Covers.

2002 saturn sl1 pcv valve

The PVC valve is located in the valve cover (top "cover" of the engine, near the oil filler cap) On DOHCs, it is immediatly to the right. On SOHCs, it a few inches to the left. The PVC valve is held to the valve cover with a rubber grommet type seat.

1. Remove the hose that connectes the throttle body unit to the PVC valve.
2. Using your hands, remove the PVC valve from the rubber seat. Wiggle it back and forth, then pull it straight out.
3. You can either clean this with carb cleaner, or simply replace it with a new one (<$5 at most auto stores)
4. Put the PVC valve back into the rubber seat and replace the hose
