Our jag has tyre wear often on the inside of the fronts also. i think its just becuse of the angle of the suspension on them. its angled for performance with the downside of tyre wear. to slow this down it is best to inflate the tyres to the maximum psi shown on the drivers side dashboard area. this means that the air is pushing the centre of the tyre out more and so the sides shouldnt be touching the road as hard.
Your best bet is to break down and go to a good repair shop for a 4 wheel alignment. Most shops give a flat rate on alignments which means you will pay one price regardless of time it takes. Most modern cars have alignment adlustments on the rear suspension as well as front. Also certain vehicles are very sensitive to tire rotations.Make sure you don't exceed manufactures mile recomendations on rotations.Having it done at the proper times can in some cases double tire life.
Hi, my x-type is doing the same thing and they told me it was because of the shocks and the right control arm. However, I am a bit nervous now that u said it didn't work. Have you resolved the problem yet?
