You have one or more door ajar sensor switches that are defective, have the BCM (Body control module) scanned to see which door is causing it, the light can be turned on by any of the 4 doors. The sensor is located inside the door on the door latch mechanism, there is no fuse as it is a ground circuit.
No there is no fuse. If all the doors are closed check to see if the door ajar light is on your dash if it is you have a problem with 1 of the 4 door ajar sensors.
sound like your fluid sensor may be stuck or bad if light stays on try tapping the washer motor on the resevoir if it goes out faulty sensor as for the door ajar light it might have bad connection with sensor saying the door is closed local dealer should be able to troubleshoot sensor
Hey Jared..my name is Keith..and what you have is a bad door sensor..and you will have to see and figure out which one is bad..i had a bad sensor..after awhile the door ajar light would go out..and then when someone opened the passenger door..then the door ajar light would come back on..so i replaced the door sensor on the passenger side and it fixed the problem..i hope this helps
Try opening and closing all four doors one at a time to determine which door ajar sensor has failed. Probably driver door. Sensor is located in door latch assembly and is a challenge for first timers. This is a common problem with these vehicles.
I'm pretty sure that they are integral to the door lock assembly on that model, would need to replace the whole door lock if that is the case. Best to get the Ford dealer to plug in their computer and check the signals from the door locks to see which one is at fault. Check central locking and power mirror fuses first, if no power to door locks then the door ajar sensors will have no power as well.
