How to set trip meter zero in the dodge grand caravan

DODGE.3.4L not GRAND caravan, non grand answers me USA only
car does drive, right ,some. slow.
PO7xx is tranny errors.
Shift Solenoid 'A' Malfunction.
wow tacho dead is not a good sign, that is engine RPM .
so engine runs at zero RPM on TACHO.
the cluster is digital, and both meters are from life PCM data
via serial PCI buss PCM to cluster brain so that seems dead.
there are 8 meters there, are all 8 dead
your 2 and coolant and VOLTS dead?,
PRNDL DEAD, OR SCRAMBLED DATA.
ODOM AND TRIP DEAD. ALL THIS IS VERY ODD AND MANY BE BAD COMMUNICATES, CHECK FUSES.
BEST IS MODERNS SCAN TOOL THAT CAN DO ALL DODGE CODES,DTcs all.

• Defective shift solenoid A
• Low level of transmission fluid
• Contaminated or dirty transmission fluid
• Fault at valve body assembly
• Poor electrical connection for solenoid A

Gas cap loose or not installed.

Check engine light.
Insert key and turn to ON 3 times and leave ON. Read the trip meter code. If you missed it, take the key out and do again.
Google the the code for engine problem.

If I remember correctly there is a pin protruding from the instrument panel glass. press and hold that pin for something like 3 to 5 seconds

I suspect a bad set switch...If you have a digital multimeter it can be tested...If you do not have a digital meter you can buy one for under $20 at most home improvement stores...Gentle pry the set switch out...It has two wires...Violet and Black/Violet...unplug the switch...take an ohm meter reading across the two terminals of the switch...When the set is pushed meter must read 5.49 K ohms...If not the switch is defective...Guru..saailer

See its well to temporarily hire another car. Its risky to get kids on a faulty car. Their lives are important than the trip. Temporarily fixing is not dependable as the fix may get off and it may become impossible to make it fix again. Think about the kids more. Thank you.

if any thing the calipers could be sticking but the ratcheting noise in reverse is normal

Replacing steering components is not that easy, and you have to take it somewhere for an alignment afterwards anyway, and if the shop did not do the work they are going to charge you a lot for the alignment. I'd take it somewhere and let them fix it for you.

I wouldn't take a long trip with bad steering components. If something broke, the best outcome is you'd be stranded, but the worst could be you lose control and crash. Paying somebody to fix it would seem really cheap compared to that!

Hold down the black plastic TRIP METER RESET switch for 10 sec and ti will go into diagnostic mode. I did this and its cool. Do it with the van turned off!
