My driver side window wont roll down, manualy, it rolls down on an angle. How do I fix it?

When the window is being opened, the glass does not travel smoothly and makes a sound like something breaking and piviots forward and jams. In order for me to open/close the window properly, I must hold the glass with one hand, to level it off and manually crank it with the other. I hope that this makes it more clear for you. Thanks

Hi, I think I have your answer, but I need you to answer a question please. When you say it rolls down on an angle, could you describe exactly what that means? Does the glass seem to pivot front to rear?

You are going to need to put it back on the sliding track so pretty much you are going to need new snaps depending on the type of car they should come off pretty easy unless one of the previous owners made things a hole lot worse then it should be be .Hopeful that is not the cassErole this helps

Thanks for the info, I think I can help. Roll the window down until it tilts forward just a little. Once the glass has tilted forward, do you see a tiny hole in the rear upper corner of the glass? I think your model has a small piece of plastic that hooks into that hole and rides up and down the vertical window track to hold the glass straight.

Need to get a wiring diagram. Buy a book and follow the wiring schematic. It should help you out majorly. Can't really work on electrical issues without one.

Driver side window will not roll up or down on my 1992 Corolla. have you ever had this problem and how did you fix it?

you should open the door panel and check if the rolling motor is trying to roll at all, if it is then the teeth for rolling up is weak else then check the fuse for the motor

2001 Buick Lesabre windows roll up but not down.

This problem is very likely caused by the drivers side power window switch being defective, I have seen this very same problem in the shop more than once and the new master switch fixed it. here is the part number and price from www.Rockauto.com

Driver window will roll down but the passenger and rear wont

The first thing that I would do is check for electricty at the motors them sel and work your way back.If there is elec. at the window motor it's self susspect a motor problem.Remove the motor to see if it spins (but it dosen't me its good it could be week)next check for binding in the window mecanism.
