Cannot remove key from ignition

Check the light board as it could be shorted within or loose

if your not completely locked out of car go through the back seat

use the ignition key in the keyhole underneath the boot lip by the number plate or under the chrome trim on the boot.

Check the brake lights to see if they are working. The transmission shifter gets an electric signal from the brake light switch telling it the brakes are on and it's OK to shift. If the lights are not working check the fuse. If the fuse is fine then check the brake light switch. It's usually located somewhere around the brake pedal.

The adjustment is out,on the transmission.

The button or the fob will not work with low or no battery power - you need to use the key. There is a keyhole on the boot under the trim or under by the reg. plate lights according to what facelift model you have.

You can use your ignition key to open the boot, it has a key hole on or under the boot chrome trim

replace the ignition, sounds like you have a short in it.

There are more fuses in the car then the ones in the car.
