P0302 is cylinder 2 not contributing. I could be a bad spark plug or injecor.

P0420 is catalytic converter issue. I could be because of the cylinder 2 failure.

this is caused by a vacuum leak, a vapor lock issue. this should be flagged as I believe all 1996 and 1997 possible 1998 pathfinders are going to have this problem. a P0302 #2 cylinder misfire w/secondary code of P0325 knock sensor. before replacing injector 2, wires , plugs, etc.. check the vacuum line above rear drivers side tire, small hose from charcoal canister up over the shock to the purge valve. The rubber hose from the canister connects to a metal hose then the metal hose connects back to a rubber hose to the purge valve. The METAL hose corrodes and leaks causing a #2 misfire for a small amount of time when warm started. pass this on few mechanics know of this. you will see the metal corroded.

Check engine light on

The p0302 is a misfiring code. It could be plugs or coil pack. The p0420 code reads Catalyst System Efficiency Below Treshol. I would start with the plugs that is the cheapest route to start out with.

Volkswagen touareg 2005, V6, 3.2L error code P0420, P0430 and P0068

Hi. Please concentrate on fixing p0068. this is to do with airflow and fuel/ mixture. maybe air mass meter. these can cause faults p0420 and 0430 to come on. after p0068 is repaired clear all faults and take the car on a long drive to clean out the cats, reassess if the cats are actually faulty at a later date.

I had my car put on a machine he told me codeP300, P0171, P0302, P0304, P0420 needs repairing. What are these codes for. My car is an 2001 toyota Corolla

P0171 is a lean oxygen sensor code. Codes P0300, P0302 and P0304 are all cylinder misfire codes. Low fuel pressure can cause all of these codes and would be the first thing I would check before replacing anything. Lean codes can be caused by misfiring cylinders. Engines running lean can cause misfires. So you have to figure out which came first - the lean condition or the misfire. Also, it needs to be verified that the engine actually is running lean and the oxygen sensor is not "lying" to the computer. An oxygen sensor that is a liar can actually cause the engine to run rich while telling the computer that it is running lean...AND THIS can cause misfires.

P0420 Is an evaporative emissions system leak code. This code is most often caused by a bad or loose fuel cap. It is also often caused by people refueling their vehicles with the engine running. It can also be caused by a leak in the system that has nothing to do with the fuel cap or refueling.

Evaporative Emissions Vent Solenoid failures are very common on Toyotas and can also cause P0420.

So, to wrap all of this up in simple terms:
You need to get some diagnostics done to save you from wasting a bunch of your hard-earned cash trying to guess what to do to fix the car.

I have a 2000 chrysler concorde that the engine light just popped on - the error codes are po302, po420, po340

P0302-cylinder #2 misfire detected
P0420- catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1
P0340-No cam signal at PCM.
The Cam sensor most likely needs to be replaced first. Clear the codes after that and drive and see what comes back on.
