Have a 2007 Pontiac G5. Can't find where to add the power steering fluid?

    Hi,
I've heard a lot of people say that there isn't anywhere to put the power steering fluid because it has electronic power steering.

If you are having trouble with your power steering, please make sure to look up the recall on the G5's power steering. Here is the official recall bulletin:http://nhthqnwws111.odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ac...
I know my power steering was replaced for free because of the recall. If you call your local GM/Chevy/Pontiac dealer and give them your VIN, they can let you know if your car is included in the recall (which it should be) but if you are qualified, you will get everything replaced and fixed for free.

    Good luck!

Oh and PS: if you ever smell gas or have a gas leak, here is the other recall for our g5:http://nhthqnwws111.odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ac...
. I just had mine fixed for free so if this ever happens to your car - DON'T pay a mechanic! go to the dealer and get everything fixed for free =)

Its tricky. its behind the engine. If you pop the hood and you go to the left side, look behind the block and it chould be about half way down or so. You should see the cap for it. I think that was a horrible idea on pontiacs part. Happy motoring!

How do you change the thermostat in a 2007 pontiac g5

The G 5 has electric power steering, there is no power steering fluid. Try getting your strut bearings replaced, they may be sized, making it hard to turn the wheel.

Keep in Mind that WITH NO POWER STEERING AT ALL The Faster you Drive the EASYER it is to Stear Lft & Rght. Having Said that If your Car is Hard to Steer While Sitting in PARK and Turning the Steering Wheel Left AND Right , This Sounds as if your Power Steering Pump Is Bad for1 and it May have Contaminated The STEERING RACK , this is A MAIN Component in the Steering System.

The power steering light is on in my 2007 Pontiac G5 Coupe

  • You have Electric Power Steering (EPS) not the traditional power steering pump. So there is no place to put power steering fluid in your vehicle.

  • Hope this helps.
