It's part of the security system -- it let's you (and any potential thief) know that the system is armed. You can turn it off by not locking the car up when you leave, but that's not a very good idea. Other than that, maybe you could just cover it up.
The light on mine blinks constantly, even when the car is left unlocked AND it just started blinking last night for the first time. It's a 2010 Sonata, I bought it new and I've owned the car for almost a month now. The light just started blinking yesterday. Thoughts???
I just bought a 2017 Kia Forte lx. I have a blinking light on my dash near the windshield. Someone said it's a light sensor but I don't have automatic lights and I don't have a security system. So beings that I don't have either of those things what could it be?? It blinks all the time weather the doors or locked or unlocked it doesn't matter.
