I have scanned my car which is the kia picanto2005

Code P0741 is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that indicates a problem with the torque converter clutch (TCC) circuit in a vehicle's automatic transmission system. The TCC is a hydraulic clutch that allows the engine to continue running while the vehicle is stopped, and it also helps to improve fuel efficiency when driving at highway speeds.
There are several potential causes for a P0741 code, including:
  • Failed torque converter clutch solenoid
  • Wiring issues, such as damaged or corroded wires
  • Failed torque converter clutch
  • Failed transmission control module (TCM)
To fix a P0741 code, it will be necessary to diagnose the specific cause of the problem and then perform the appropriate repair. This will typically require the expertise of a trained mechanic, as working on a vehicle's transmission system can be complex and requires specialized tools and knowledge.
If you are experiencing a P0741 code on your vehicle and are unsure how to proceed, it is recommended to take your vehicle to a mechanic or dealership for diagnosis and repair. They will be able to identify the specific cause of the problem and provide the necessary repairs to fix the issue.

2002 caddy sls stalls when puy in gear

P0741- Torq Conv Clutch Circ Perf/Stuck Off
Looks like the torque converter clutch circuit is in the off position causing the car to stall. But as I read this again I can see you know that. I would check or change the tcc switch on the tranny to start. I believe it is on the rear of the tranny.

I have 2003 toyata Camry 4 cylinder fail diagnostic test p0741 code torque converter clutch circuit performance or stuck off but car drive like new so what is the solution to fix it

This code refers to a faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve which is located in the transmission ( pan ). The code can be set if the transmission fluid is low/dirty causing the valve assembly to gum up and stick. The code can also be set if the valve is defective or the wiring to it has a problem. The most common problem is a bad valve

P0742 torque converter clutch circuit stuck on

Ok, The other day I had a "service Engine Soon" light. The car was shifting really hard, and slamming into each gear. I have found that if I pull over, take my code reader and plug it in, I get a PO742 code. Torque converter circuit stuck on. I proceed to erase that code from the computer, and restart the car and it will run and drive totally fine, as if nothing is wrong. I have been doing it this way for 3 years and the car is running fine to this day. It hasn't cost me a dime in repairs, and I commute 500 miles/week. It's worth a try, because I have heard that if you spend 800-900 bucks to get it "fixed", the problem WILL return some day.

Code PO420A, PO742A,P1811C

P0420 catalytic below threshold,Your basically dealing with is a failed catalytic ,
P0742 Torque convertor clutch circuit stuck on or off.
P1811 this is manufacutrer code definition adaptive shift (due to P0742)
P1811 this code is set from towing a trailer in overdrive
when P0742 comes on it usually is accompanied by P1887
If its p1811 then yes it truly is a TCC solenoid being a problem As for catalytic code te catalytic is a mechanical device and yes they do expire from mileage and age

Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Stuck On

the torque converter clutch circuit is inside the torque converter and is not something u can repair, the torque converter must be cut apart and rebuilt by companies who specialize in this, so all you can do is pull the transmission out of the car and replace the torque converter with a rebuilt or new unit.
