Hopefully this will help you. The 2003 Jag S-Type came withcellular pre-wire, but I'm not 100% certain that's bluetooth. This info is forS Types with Bluetooth. The code is 1313.

This is copied from Jaguar's Quick Reference Guide for Bluetooth Phone Systems:
The Jaguar Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System... Designed for you and yourJaguar
Motorola andJaguar worked closely together to bring the
latest communications innovation to our vehicles.
Bluetooth is a technology that allows for seamless communications betweendifferent electronic devices - such as a cell phone and automobile - withoutthe use of wires. Bluetooth enabled devices are able to "talk" by using astandard protocol that ensures seamless interoperability between all Bluetoothdevices.
When equipped with a Bluetooth Phone System your car is
able to provide hands-free cellphone operation when connected to a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. There is no need for wires or cradles to dock the phone; and you don't evenneed to hold a cell phone while talking. Simply put, an individual enters avehicle with a paired Bluetooth phone in his or her pocket, purse or briefcaseand the phone automatically connects to the vehicle system - from there, allcalls are routed through the audio system.

The Jaguar Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System provides convenient hands-freecontrol of a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. You can access all telephone systemfunctions using both the audio panel buttons and the steering wheel switches.

Wireless connection
Once a Bluetooth phone is paired with the system, the vehicle will look forthis phone every time the ignitionswitch is turned on. The system and phone will connect if theyare within range of each other- regardless if the phone is concealed in yourpocket or purse.

Navigation System
On vehicles fitted with the JaguarNavigation System, the audio panel buttons are replaced bytouchscreen controls. Hands-free operation of the phone using the steeringwheel switches is retained.
For more information on Navigation touch-screen controls, please see the JaguarBluetooth In-car Telephone Handbook.

Voice Activation System
Integration with the Voice Activation System enables you to activate the mainfunctions of the telephone system by speaking to it.
Voice commands are picked up by the same overhead microphone that is used toconduct a call. To learn more about the Voice Activation System, refer to theJaguarVoice Handbook.

Vehicles with touch-screen
Follow these steps to pair your phone with the vehicle:
1. Switch the vehicle's ignition ON (position II).
2. Press the Phone mode button, to the left of the touch-screen.
3. Using the touch-screen keypad, enter the code '##3#*#', then press theSend/End button to the bottom right of the touch-screen.
4. The message 'Discover Me' will be displayed, to confirm that the system isready to pair with a mobile phone.
5. Switch on your mobile phone's Bluetooth connection,
using the phone's menu. (See your phone's manual for more information).
6. Select 'search for other Bluetooth devices' or 'Audio Accessories' from yourmobile phone's menu.
7. Select 'Jaguar' in your phone's paired device list, in order to connect tothe vehicle's Bluetooth system.
8. Enter the Passkeyon your mobile phone (the Passkey is 1313).
9. Under certain circumstances, the message 'No BT Phone' may be displayedbriefly.
10. After a short delay, the message 'Phone Connected' will confirm that thephone and vehicle are paired. Once a mobile phone is paired with the vehicle, the vehicle will look for this specific phone everytime the ignition isswitched ON.

Vehicles without touch-screen
Follow these steps to pair your phone with the vehicle:
1. Switch the vehicle's ignition ON (position II).
2. Press the Phone mode button on the audio panel. 'SIG' will be displayed.
3. Using the audio panel keypad, enter the code '##3#*#' and press the Send/Endbutton. 'SIG*' will be displayed.
4. Switch on your mobile phone's Bluetooth connection,

5. Select 'search for other Bluetooth devices' or 'Audio Accessories' from yourmobile phone's menu.
6. Select 'Jaguar' in your phone's paired device list, in order to connect tothe vehicle's Bluetooth system.
7. Enter the Passkey on your mobile phone (the Passkey is 1313). 'SIG' will bedisplayed initially.
8. Once the vehicle and phone are paired, 'SIG*' will appear on the audiopanel. Once a mobile phone is paired with the vehicle, the vehicle will lookfor this specific phone every time the ignition is switched ON.
Note: Once a mobile phone is paired with the vehicle, 'SIG*' will be displayedinitially when the ignition is switched ON. If the phone is not detected withintwo minutes, the audio system will exit Phone mode and revert to its previousaudio
mode. If an incorrect Passkey is entered, your mobile
phone should prompt you to enter the correct Passkey.

Pairing other phones
Only one mobile phone can be paired with the vehicle at a time.
Once paired, the vehicle will look for the same phone each time the ignition isswitched ON (position II): you do not need to manually pair the phone with thevehicle every time you switch the ignition ON.
The Bluetooth function of your mobile phone must be switched on when theignition is switched ON in order for it to pair with the vehicle automatically.
If a different Bluetooth mobile phone is to be used with the vehicle, it mustbe paired manually, as described previously. This phone will then become the'default' phone, which the system will look for each time the ignition isswitched ON.

2008 S-Type Jag with 19,000 miles. Dealer wants $695 to put on new rear brakes and rotors. Is this reasonable?

Do it yourself

Have you never paid $695 for brake
work before?

Why are you at a dealer?

What about a repair shop down the street

That would be about $300 for the same work

Hi there, 2001 s type jag, rear fogs not fully coming on....the bulb element glows but will not fully light...any ideas

Either poor grounding near the lights or a high-resistance connection in the power wiring to the lights. Possible bad control switch or loose fuse connection. Try removing the bulbs, then replacing them several times to clean the socket connections. If this helps, spray some WD-40 into both sockets and turn the bulbs several times. Hope this helps!

My jaguar stype's heating cannot be controlled - it comes out constantly hot. Last week I changed the ambient air sensor which was effective in displaying the fault on the temp gauge of the outsede air...

Hi,

I had this problem about a year ago on my 2004 S Type diesel. It's not uncommon and the end result was that it's a wiring fault in the front wiring harness. This is a major hassle to fix and involves taking the fron bumper off. The Jag main dealer did this but the problem came back. I checked other forums and it seems there was a batch of rogue wiring harneeses which Jag bought cheap from Romania in 2004 and fitted to S types. These had moisture in them when manufactured so eventually most of the wires corrode over time - but from the inside! Jag know about this but will not fix under warranty. I ended up spending £1200 to have a whole new front wiring harness fitted - problems gone away now.

What does code P1587 mean?

Hi there;
Your looking for the definition of code P1587 on you 2000 Jag S-type.
Are you ready for this? It has a long name.

P1587 :PCM to throttle actuator control module throttle command redundancy circuit malfunction.

Which means the information the engine control computer received from the throttle controller does not "compute". Unfortunately the dealer doesn't provide any repair information & if this code is constant it will need to be repaired by your local Jaguar dealer.

Brakes and rotars

sounds like he's trying to get more money out of you. the only reasons you would need to replace your brake rotors/disks would be if they have worn below the recommended guidlines for your vehical which for that model as they are vented disks would be 28mm
