Well to take out the air lock in the system, first of all you must look for the fuel filter ,just beside the fuel filter ,you will find another filter which is the pre fuel filter which is the water trap,on the pre fuel filter on it's top there is a feed pump for the diesel ,now what you must do is to see for the diesel hoses ,follow it ,you will find inlet and outlet for the hoses, you must take out the hose that goes to the outlet.By then start to press the feed pump, the pressing is done by your palm, keep pumping until you see diesel coming out where you have taken out the hose until with a good flow, now put back the hose, then press the pump until it become hard to press to press. Now start the engine, hope that clear your mind and solve it

Why would my 88 f250 econoline van not switch tanks completely and can the switch be replaced with a manual valve

The fuel pump may be starting to go bad, when you get below half a tank, the pump does not submerge in fuel as much to keep it cool and it will seize up and stall the motor. You will need to replace the pump and check inside the bottom of the tank for small metal bits that almost look like shiny sand.

What is the best way to deal with 2 gallons of gas in 2003 TDI? I can't get a hose in deep enough to siphon it. Am thinking about removing line to fuel pump.

FOR TDI ENGINES WHICH IS TURBO DIESEL INJECTION. THE FUEL SYSTEM CONSISTS OF FUEL INJECTION PUMP WHICH DRAW FUEL FROM FUEL TANK THROUGH A FUEL FILTER NO OTHER FUEL PUMP IS USED. YOUR FUEL INJECTION PUMP HAS A ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP BUILT INSIDE INJECTION PUMP ITSELF YOU DONT HAVE TO DROP FUEL TANK.FUEL PUMP IS UNDER THE HOOD.YOUR FUEL INJECTION PUMP IS THE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP.

Secondary air pump injection check

I think your car must be V6 or V8 engine, engine model 112, or 113, in your car secondary air injection pump is located on top of front, first remove front section of top engine cover then you can see black color electric pump have fitted middle of front end of engine that's the secondary air injection pump check any hose connection leaking or off or broken if not possibly faulty air injection pump, if you get fix the Mercedes diagnose tool to the your car it can activate and check by diagnose CPU, that's the easy way to find if it's faulty or not some time cold be faulty wiring or fuse. is this information helped you?

Car lazy to start

Hey bro, your diesel pump might be on the way out but here are some things to check and do and see if they help.

Replace the hoses going from the pump to the diesel filter with new ones.

Use fuel injector type clamps, NOT gear clamps they don't tighten enough to stop air not getting in.

Change the diesel filter, and make sure the drain on the bottom of it, if it has one which most do, is nice and tight.

Air bubbles in the injection lines are usually a sign of a weakening injection pump but I ran mine like that for a long time, the air works it's way through. Are you leaking any diesel? Maybe check the returns to the tank. Cheers bro.
