Check the fuel filter air filter and vacuume lines if they all good make sure the spark plugs are making a bright blue spark

My daughter's 2003 Mazda Tribute sometimes won't stay running. It will start but when you take your foot off the gas it stalls. She's had it towed home and then it starts right up!
if when running it runs well apart from idle problem i would suggest you have the throttle body and idle speed control valve cleaned out and add a fuel system cleaner to fuel tank also check wireing to idle speed control valve
