I want to update the GPS on my 2005 Highlander. Can I find the right system online as an option to the dealership update?

I think you could use this manual method instead.. My nephew use it to repair my car and it's totally repaired now

if I remember right just use small screwdriver pop that trim off and you should be able to get to bulb its real small and is replacable dealers stock bulb cheap 1 or 2 dollars

problem could be in door central locking system or body ecm.let dealership check it out.

You should have hit the dealer up for some of the cost as this vehicle was only just out of warranty

Sorry...thats your only choice...but check with a 4X4 dealership parts counter.

The nut that holds the middle knob has gotten loose and the knob (which is probably loose) has caused a wire behind it to break. I found the fix on the internet with details and pictures and all you need is to take the cover off and solder the broken wire back. I don't know where the website is now but search "toyota highlander blows hot and cold" and you might find it. Good luck. don't let dealership put a new control panel in.

That sounds really steep to me. Id ask them how they are justifying it. I have replaced a Highlander HV inverter before and It only paid about 4 hours, its not difficult at all. Yes, I am Toyota hybrid Certified.

I just bnought a 2005 Highlander which did not come with the Owners Manual.   Found it online at http://www.analogstereo.com/toyota_highlander_owners_manual.htm
It was free - unlike most sites - and a .pdf - which is searchable.

Get an update for the Maps. Should be able to call the dealer and purchase a new DVD of updated maps. P.S. This may be spendy.
