2000 Chevy K2500 will not start reliably. It has

2000 Chevy K2500 will not start reliably. It has fuel (more than 60psi) and spark. When it starts it runs great. It may take up to 20 tries to get it to start. It has a 350 vortec engine. I think it is losing prime.

Unfamiliar with this specific engine, but fuel injection needs more than what injectors normally put out in order to start. So there typically is a starting injector that is separate and only squirts while cranking the starter. In order to prevent flooding, it usually has some sort of timer switch that cuts out after 5 seconds or so. It often comes off the starter, and is attached to the block in order to be temperature controlled. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Check the fuel pressure, when the vehicle is not starting to make sure of the fuel pump pressure. If it is loosing prime,it will have no fuel pressure. Then check for spark, when the vehicle is acting up.

2004 chevy blazer will not turn over

Just to clarify what you said, if it cranks it turns over.
If it won't start, you would check for spark at the plugs and fuel pressure at the rail. Vortec engines need at least 60psi fuel pressure to start. If you have spark you could try spraying carb cleaner into the intake hose to boost the amount of fuel as a test.

96 chevy blazer turns over but wont start

It needs at least 60psi fuel pressue to start. You need to check fuel pressure with a gauge.
If the dist cap or rotor is bad, the spark will not be on the right plug at the right time. Same goes for a faulty distributor or a problem with the timing chain. And the ignition module.
Also check the ecm for trouble codes.

1999 chevy k2500. changed spark plugs 4 times in 7 months. Runs good for a week then doesn't start. Changed spider, throttle body sensor. Still has no codes and once again won't start.

The next time it won't start ,pull a sparkplug wire and see if you're getting fire. Then we'll known whether its a ignition or fuel problem and go from there.

1998 chevy k 2500 cranks but wont start ,

See if you're missing fuel or spark.
Does the fuel pump buzz for about 2 seconds when the key is first turned to ON? Do you have about 60psi of fuel pressure? Are your fuses good?
Then you can probe injector wires and have the ignition module tested at an Auto Zone.

Pull a coil wire, do you get spark? Do you have power to the coil? Again, test the ignition module.

You most likely have no power to the injectors when switch is initailly turned on. Sometimes this is caused by a sticking oil pressure switch. Check wiring diagram to see if power source is through this switch.Hope this helps God Bless

I get a code po300 on a scanner wich says multiple cylinder missfire on a 2000 chevy impala 3.8 engine i have replaced the computer no help any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

Check and replace the plugs and see if the Spark plug wires need to be replaced too. Make sure the wires don't have any burn marks or arching on the exhaust manifold. The other thing to look for is dirty fuel injector and fuel pressure. Check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve, upon start up there should be 60psi to 65psi and when the engine is running it should drop 5psi. Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted be glad to help.
