Try lubing the ing cylinder. Probably needs a new ignition lock and housing. Try rocking the wheel while applying force to the key to turn it (not too hard!), but likely will need new lock and housing

Key will not go into the ignition on my VW jetta

There is a security flap that is supposed to recognize only your car key. Sometimes this flap can get stuck down. The quick fix is to have the dealership get some WD-40 sprayed on it so it wont stick. The more permanant fix (and better fix) is to have the dealership replace your ignition. The ignition is covered under most warrantys.

2005 VW Jetta ignition/key problem

I just had this problem as well... thank god I had a handy AAA guy to my rescue, who used a flat head screwdriver in the ignition to get it to turn a bit, which caused the white lock I could see (that holds the key in while driving) to release... and then I could insert the key... Though I notice this is now becoming a reoccuring issue... so I think the ignition needs replacing...

Reset the tire pressure warning, same as you would any service issue. Insert key in ignition, hold wrench button and min button, then start engine.
