Where is the fuel filter on a 2003 Jag X-type?

Either have a fuel pump going bad, or a high current draw due to corrosion of the wiring harness. Professional Diagnosis is recomended to prevent hours of swearing befor you realize the kids an hear you.

It's in the JTIS look under fuel tank and lines # 310-01 under powertrain It's located under the car along the left rail about where the rear seat located

COULD HAVE BAD FUEL WRONG TYPE FUEL COULD NEED NEW AIR FILTER. DIESEL ENGINE NEEDS AIR TO OPERATE.IF AIR FILTER RESTRICTED.DIESEL ENGINE WONT RUN AND CLOGGED FUEL FILTER CAUSE STARTING PROBLEMS PROBLEMS WITH TURBOCHARGER OR TURBOCHARGER ACTUATOR WOULD CAUSE ENGINE RUN VERY SLOW NO POWER ON TAKE OFF.I SAY PROBLEM IN FUEL SYSTEM OR AIR INTAKE SYSTEM.IF YOU HAD ANY OTHER PROBLEMS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL FLASH ON.

check the backpressure on the catalytic converters

It may be part of the problem, if the filters are located in the cowl (the part of the car in between the windshield, and the hood) It may be as simple as the cover not being on quite right. May just want to pop the hood and inspect everything along the cowl to make sure it all looks right.

About 6 1/2 quarts with a new filter. Stick with Jaguar filters. There is a difference! Let me know if you need anything else.

If your jag is right drive it is located passenger side
Left hand drive is located drivers side
Filters can not be interchanged
Your parts shops must have LHD filters
Check internet for prices,also phone local dealer to compare prices

Mine did same thing. Had it put on computor and it had to have a plug replaced and fuel filter was stopped completely up.

BEFORE YOU GO AND SPEND THE MONEY AN A KNOCK SENSOR I WOULD GO AND GET A FUEL PRESSURE TEST. IF YOU ARE LUCKY IT MAY BE STARVING FOR FUEL AND COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS A FUEL FILTER
