My check engine lite is on in my 2002 sequoia. I went to get and auto inspection today and the truck failed. the tech said that it needed a p0155 02 sensor heater circuit. Can I replace the sensor myself? What is the cost of the part.

This code indicates a problem with the O2 sensor on bank #2. The sensor is located in the exhaust pipe close to the engine. It could be the sensor or the wiring to it.

After the problem is fixed you should clear the code from the vehicle computer. Some auto parts stores will do this for free. After the problem is fixed the code will clear itself eventually but it will take several start ups.

Yes you can do it yourself if you are reasonably handy.

Turn you ignition switch to the on position ,does the CK ENG Lite appear, if yes this is a good indication. Your DLC (diagnostic link connector) should have battery voltage at pin 16 and ground at 4 and 5,If you can verify that your vehicle has this working order then its there problem and not yours

Have a 2002 Honda Civic Hybrid with 192,000 miles. Only issue I have had to this point is the catalytic converter has ben replaced 3 times, all under warranty. My check engine & IMA lights popped on...

What type of Honda Civic do you have? There is a difference between the LX and EX civic exhaust systems. And your vehicle will not pass inspection with your check engine light on.

Trac light on 2002 toyota sequoia

You need to have the wheel speed sensors checked. If one is not reading the proper rPM of the wheels, it thinks that the other wheel is spinning, and the TRAC applies the brakes on that side.
A good tech with a good scan tool might be able to read the sensors, but, a Toyota tech is your best bet.

What should i look for when troubleshooting the check engine light?

HI. when the engine light comes on, your really cone look for anything. this light is connected the a on boar engine control module(ecm). this is a CPU that regulates a small current to many sensors that are connected to the engines vital regions. if any of the conjoining sensors detect an abnormality within the operation of the engines ldle or electrical situation as well, it will trigger the check engine light.

Once this light is triggered, it will generate a code that will explain what the actual problem is and how to repair it as well. these codes are extracted by a special diagnostic cpu that your local mechanic will have or, you can take your vehicle to Auto Zone and , they will run it for free. there is a legend that will has a available codes for your vehicle and the tech will match up the appropriate code for the read out.

In most situations, the issue here will be a failed sensor of some sort. maybe a malfunctioning O2 sensor or a bad egr valve etc...

PLease rate and have a great day:)

Need to Pass Inspection - P0174 & P0171 codes

it is very possible that the tech caused the light to come on, and yes again your local autozone will be able to clear the code for you but keep in mind if there is truely a problem the light will come back on.
