I have a CD jammed in my VW Beetle 2005 player. I was quoted $400 to fix by dealer. Looked up in their manual and for $6.99 the special CD screw driver is listed and is the only thing that works, went to parts, can't buy it !! only VW licensed mechanics have access to it. What a rip off. ANy solutions now??
Try this
While the car is off, hold the power and the eject button. Press your CD player's power and eject buttons down at the same time, holding them for about ten seconds. It may have a "force eject" feature many do, it should spit out the CD.
If this doesn't work, start the car and try again. Some CD players may not function when the car is turned off. For these players, try pressing and holding the power and eject buttons while the car is running.
Can't hurt to try.
If you see or know of a Snap On tool truck around your area when he's stopped can't hurt to ask him if he has one like it or knows a mechanic that would do it on the side.
just a thought. Also Mac or Matco tools.
hope this helps a little.
Most CD players have a reset button.looks like a very tiny depressed button...push it while you press on the eject button.

The bulb number that you need is #194.
Pull off the interior trim, and you will see the sockets for the bulbs.

new one with a usb connector and sd card reader is better and cheaper
SOURCE: cannot find dipstick to check transmission fluid
There is no "dipstick for the VW Beetle transmission". This is a dealer check/repair item. The unit is typically sealed, but can have a leak if the seal on top of the transmission fails. About a $700 repair. This happened on my 1998 VW New Beetle.

your condensor fins could be blocked by leaves or other debris on the outside. this component is located right behind the radiator. there could also be an overcharge or under charge in the system. make sure that when you charged the system that you used a good set of gauges to check the system pressures. Also check and make sure that there is not a blockage somewhere in the lines, Usually if there is there is a fine layer of ice surrounding it.
