90 Olds Cutlass Ciera overheated briefly and blew the bottom radiator hose off. Lost all antifreeze. Repaired hose and refilled antifreeze. Now getting steam through the exhaust. Don't believe head gasket blown - no water in oil. Steam coming from back side of motor. Could it be a blown-out freeze plug? Where are freeze plugs located? Thanks in advance.

I looked up info in an online parts book for your radiator, 96--olds cutlass ciera-- 3.1L engine. The lower radiator hose is located on the passenger side, same side as radiator cap, only at the bottom.
if its overheated it could of blown the head gasket. or warped the head. take the plugs out and see if it looks like its been steam cleaned in one or more of the cylinders.
You have got to space it by feel,so it does not touch either side of the reluctor plates, check the balancer reluctor plates to make sure they are not bent, and the balancer is not coming apart in the rubber part.

Floor shift...same options. Tilt and/or no tilt is a matter of preference as the wiring harness is the same, so either will work. Floor shift is floor shift only,'89 and '90 Ciera, Century, Celebrity, 6000.
Top right hand side of the motor, follow top rad hose into manifold and loosen two bolts to remove the therm. Note which way it comes out so you replace it correctly. Good luck
im not sure but it must be below somewhere, anyway you need to takethe bottom radiator hose off to flush it out ,put a rag around a garden hose stuff in the bottom inlet undo radiator cap n flush till clear
